Reports

Pastor’s Report
No report, as pastors were not present.

Executive Director’s Report
Written report submitted.

Highlighted items are preparation for the Common Core Curriculum.  There are many changes coming in the near future that will greatly impact our students.  We need to be proactive and gear our faculty to move in this direction.  We have already attended a workshop at the ISD that covered the English portion of the CCC, and will be attending a Math workshop in the upcoming weeks.

We also will continue to put an emphasis on improving our composite ACT score.  One action that we will put in place is to step up our pre-testing. This is detailed on the table in the attached report.

Our “late starts” on Tuesday are having phenomenal results.  The collaboration between faculty has been outstanding.  One fruit that has been born from this is the decision that all Juniors will now be required to take physics.  We expect other changes to come about from these work sessions in the near future.

Elementary School Report
Written report submitted.

Fr. John Fleckenstein will visit our building on March 22 to visit with teachers, classes and interested parents after morning Mass.  He will return on the evening of April 12 at 7PM to meet with members of  the school and church community.

Assistant MS/HS Principal – Athletic Director’s report
Written report submitted.

Lincoln Township has put new benches on the baseball field at Eaton Park at no cost to us.  We will also be allowed to run the concession stand for all of our home games.

Coach Eversole has resigned as boy’s basketball coach.  He cited too many conflicts with his growing business, thus not allowing him to put the time he felt was needed into the basketball program.

The Band trip to Walt Disney World went very well.  The students conducted themselves well and represented our school in a very positive manner.  Pretty much everything went according to plan, with no discipline issues at all.  Joe Jarvie thought it was one of  the better trips he’s had.

Next meeting will be May 18, at St. Bernard’s.

Motion to adjourn by Bill Grover, supported by Frank DeFrancesco.  Vote to adjourn approved.

Meeting adjourned by Rusty Cutter at 8:12PM.
