    Introduction:

    The Counselor position assumes the role of accountability for all students and their academic, social and emotional well being. He/She serves as the main advisor for students and their academic and workplace preparedness success. He/She is positive, welcoming, knowledgeable and maintains an understanding of current practices in their respective field of practice. He/She communicates effectively with students, staff, teachers and parents. He/She promotes high expectations and rigor for all students. He/She understands and practices the need for confidentiality in student and administrative affairs.

    Expectations and Responsibilities:

    • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the principal, teachers, staff and parents
    • Serve as our students’ academic, social, emotional and developmental advocate
    • Manage all academic programs, initiatives, operations, orientations, concerns and affairs
    • Publish all academic information, documents, schedules and print materials in electronic file format
    • Maintain student records and data
    • Maintain and support a positive and productive work environment and culture the Department of Academic Affairs-The environment is visibly supportive of our students, the school’s administration and their academic/workplace interests and accomplishments
    • Promote and assist in the completion of all student applications, scholarships, grants etc.
    • Confer with all students at least once per semester on interests, data and academic planning
    • Communicate and present academic, emotional and social information and dates to the principal, staff, teachers and parents as necessary
    • Knowledgeable on the implementation and utilization of our student management system RenWeb/Facts
    • Direct and advise students in the college application and acceptance process by affording student workshops, informational sessions, and personal guidance with financial aid, scholarships, essay writing and career exploration
    • Responsible for drafting and publishing: master schedule, daily schedules, course description catalog, department services, student schedules, and additional academic information as suggested by the Principal
    • Afford academic counseling and support to all students: course selections, post-secondary planning, interest inventories, etc.
    • Responsible for all academic grade reporting, report card processing, student transcripts, etc.
    • Responsible for all standardized testing, AP Testing, recording and processing
    • Document and communicate all academic data on student performance and achievement
    • Ensure academic compliance with local, state and federal agencies
    • Host parent information sessions as needed on a variety of topics
    • Facilitate graduation ceremony, all related items and disbursement of diplomas
    • Draft and submit a yearly department budget
    • Ensure all students have met or exceeded all graduation requirements from local, state and federal agencies
    • Coordinates and facilitates honors assemblies
    • Schedules and maintains a program of college representative visits, on campus experiences and guest speakers related to a variety of college planning and workplace ready topics
    • Additional duties as assigned by the principal

    Middle School Mathematics Teacher

    Introduction:

    The middle level math position requires the teacher to work in a collaborative team setting. The teacher is responsible for mathematical learning in grades 6-8. The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, mastery of content knowledge, a positive attitude, empathy with students and knowledge of best practices at the middle level.

    Expectations and Responsibilities:

    • Practice and implement a middle school level program that is in tune with adolescents and their growth and development.

    • Integrate elements of Catholic faith intentionally into lessons.

    • Responsible for grades 6, 7 and 8 mathematical learning. 

    • Implement mathematical curriculum through a variety of methods.

    • Utilize technology in student learning.

    • Differentiate instruction as needed.

    • Communicate effectively through email, letters, video conferencing, etc.

    • Utilize Google Classroom for communication, collaboration and planning with students and parents.

    • Create and document lessons via PlanBook

    • Manage the classroom for optimal learning conditions.

    • Work collaboratively with colleagues in a team teaching setting.

    Position: Substitute Teacher 
    Salary: $85.00-95.00 per day rate

    Duties & Expectations: 
    • Assume duties of the regular classroom teacher promptly and in accordance with school rules and diocesan policies 
    • Implement existing lesson plans that ensure the integrity of academic time and motivates students to learn and participate.
    • Instruct students on a variety of classroom topics/courses of instruction, as determined by the lesson plans and in accordance with school rules and diocesan policies.  
    • Assign reasonable tasks and homework to students in accordance with the school’s lesson plans.
    • Create a classroom environment that supports learning and various types of learning styles of students. 
    • May supervise students in out-of-class settings (such as assemblies, lunchroom) as directed by the school’s plans and calendar.
    • Maintain classroom control that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students and staff in accordance with the school rules and diocesan policies.  

    *Please note that if school is mandated to return to a virtual setting, the substitute should be prepared and competent to teach off-site. Training is available for long-term substitutes.


    Custodian

    We are looking for a full time custodian to work at Our Lady of the Lake South Campus.  The position would be an afternoon/evening position.  You will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to keep the buildings looking great. To work well in this role you should have basic janitorial knowledge and experience cleaning.

    Job Type: Full-Time

    Janitor Responsibilities:
    • General cleaning of the building and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
    • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
    • General cleaning.
    • Ensure doors are locked after hours.
    • Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
    • Notify supervisors or managers of major repairs.
    • Collect and dispose of trash.
    • Complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
    • Keep cleaning supplies in stock.
    Janitor Requirements:
    • Ability to manage your time efficiently.
    • Work well when supervisors are not present.
    • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
    • Handle basic cleaning and other janitorial work.
    • Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies.
    • High school diploma.
    • Able to use basic cleaning equipment.
